Fellow Canadians left big impression

-

Re: “Still traumatized by the referendum” (Letters, Oct. 30) Carol Patch-Neveu talks about her memories of how fellow citizens came to support us, right in the heart of Montreal.

My friends and children will never forget that feeling, that we were not forgotten The streets were open. We walked and spoke with people from all over Canada.

It was overwhelming. I am thankful our fellow Canadians made the effort — with its time and cost — to do that. We stayed here and fought for our country. Their presence made all the difference. Renate van der Griend, Beaconsfield
