Old Port needs a maritime museum

Re: “New efforts to revitalize Old Montreal are welcome” (Basem Boshra, Jan. 29) The thing that’s missing from our beautiful Old Port is a proper maritime museum. Maybe those massive eyesore grain elevators could be converted and filled with memorabilia from the Port of Montreal’s rich life. Seafarers and longshoremen certainly deserve a place in the history of our fascinating waterfront. Jim McDermott, St-Laurent
