This hockey fan isn’t in a funk

Re: “All of Montreal in a funk over the Habs” ( Montreal Gazette, Feb. 5) I am a fan of hockey, a fan of great goals and great saves. I have lived in Montreal all my life. That being said, I don’t choose to latch onto a team simply because I live in that city. So, I am not in a funk, and maybe if others didn’t worship teams as if they were idols, they would be able to deal with the Habs’ poor performance a little bit better. Edmund Gleason, Pincourt
