Rabbi’s article was a jewel

Re: “Pope Francis, a Montreal rabbi and the importance of bridge- building” ( Opinion, March 10)

Thank you for publishing Rabbi Boruch Perton’s article about his meeting with Pope Francis and about the Israeli Hand- in- Hand schools. That article seemed to me like a large jewel amid the tragedies in the Middle East, Europe, Africa and in our own backyard: U. S. politics.

If the Pope prayed at that horrible security wall and still there is no peace, this reminds me of a line of wisdom I read recently: “When God solves your problems, you have faith in His abilities; when God doesn’t solve your problems, He has faith in your abilities.” John D’Silva, Beaconsfield
