Crosby nets first star honours
Pittsburgh Penguins centre Sidney Crosby is the NHL’s first star of the week as he continues his resurgent second half of the season. Crosby had two goals and five assists in four games as the Penguins extended their winning streak to six games and moved into second place in the Metropolitan Division. Crosby has a point in 12 straight games (six goals, 14 assists). Los Angeles goaltender Jonathan Quick went 3-0-0 with a 1.32 goalsagainst average to earn second-star honours, while Calgary centre Sean Monahan had five goals and two assists to earn the third star award.
