Autopsy required to identify body

A body was found in the StLawrence River by Pointe-auxTrembles on Friday morning. The Canadian Coast Guard signalled the grim discovery to the Montreal Police at about 6:40 a.m. The body was picked up near St-Jean-Baptiste Blvd. and Notre-Dame St. E. Police spokesperson Manuel Couture said an autopsy will help determine the gender and age of the body in question. It seems the person may have been dead for some time.
