5 BAD MOMS THINGS

-

1 Listen up.Jon Lucas and Scott Moore are best remembered for writing the screenplay of the big hit The Hangover. The Bad Moms co-directors and co-writers admit, though, they often deferred to their wives when constructing scenes for their latest R-rated adventure.

2 Give and take. Sketchcomedy veteran Annie Mumolo portrays one of the perfect moms who confronts the bad moms in the movie. She came up with a lot of her dialogue but Luca and Moore were OK with that. Mumolo shared an Oscar nomination for co-writing the script for Bridesmaids.

3 Together they stand. The cast connected almost immediately. Mostly, they discussed politics and talked about their kids off camera. But for a few weeks on the New Orleans set, the only discussion centred on the best flu medication as a virus swept through the some of the cast.

4 Vamping it. Kathryn Hahn is often mistaken for former Saturday Night Live cast member Ana Gasteyer. One of the reasons, besides looks, might be Hahn’s obvious talent for comedy. Besides Bad Moms, she has a co-starring role in Captain Fantastic this summer and had a recurring part on the Amazon series Transparent. In fact, she was live from New York in the beginning, but on Broadway in the Tony winner BoeingBoeing. In Bad Moms, she steals scenes portraying the neighbourhood vamp.

5 Not picture perfect. Kunis, hubby Ashton Kutcher and then baby girl Wyatt were left alone during the Bad Moms shoot in New Orleans, but there were paparazzi moments. “I can honestly tell you she does not like it,” Kunis says of Wyatt’s reaction to the camera flashes then and now.
