Cotillard takes the high road

Actress denies rumours about affair with Pitt

Babble about the Brangelina breakup will, of course, go on for months. But very little of it will be as classy as what Marion Cotillard, the alleged other woman, put on Instagram the other day in French and English:

“As this situation is spiralling and affecting people I love, I have to speak up.” She said her partner, Guillaume Canet, is “my love, my best friend, the only one that I need.” (She’s expecting their second child.)

The affair-with-Brad Pitt stuff is, she said contemptuously, a “crafted conversation.” And she added this: “To those who have indicated that I am devastated, I am very well thank you . ... And to all the media and the haters who are quick to pass judgment, I sincerely wish you a swift recovery.”

Finally, she wished that Brad and Angie “will find peace.”

She’s 40. Canet’s 43. Little Marcel is five.

Now we move a couple of notches down the classiness scale, to Frederick’s of Hollywood. The struggling lingerie company has a new part-owner in Megan Fox, who’s been recurrently underdressed in those Transformers movies.

She will be a “brand ambassador.” (That sounds so much better than “paid shill,” doesn’t it?) We don’t know the terms of the deal.

Frederick’s is moving into activewear — so much more wholesome, and perhaps more profitable, than the company’s racier underwear.

Fox, still married to Brian Austin Green, has three kids. She’s 30.

If you’re in Ohio this weekend, keep an eye open for six stars of the beloved series The West Wing (NBC, 1999-2006).

Deadline.com reports that Allison Janney, Bradley Whitford, Richard Schiff, Dulé Hill, Joshua Malina and Mary McCormack will be together in Cleveland, Toledo, Dayton and Columbus on Saturday and Sunday, campaigning for one of the U.S. presidential candidates.

No prize for guessing which one.

The all-female Ocean’s 11

remake has now been fully cast, as Ocean’s 8.

Variety mag reports that Sarah Paulson, who just won an Emmy for that O.J. Simpson thing, has accepted the last main role in the Las Vegas caper picture.

She joins Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling and Awkwafina, an Asian-American rapper. There’s a male director, Gary Ross, and the producer is Steven Soderbergh. Filming starts next month.

Daniel Radcliffe aspires to have a

role in a certain TV series.

Right now he doesn’t want any long-term commitments to a movie franchise or a series, he tells the website Digital Spy. But a guest appearance on Game of Thrones would suit him fine.

“If they want to just bring me in and (bad word) kill me, I would be so happy to do that,” he said.
