LaBeouf wedding online, but never happened

- DOUG CAMILLI tellcamilli@gmail.com

Shia LaBeouf: erratic, or screwy? I report, you decide.

Actually, in this case the N.Y. Post reports, pointing out two oddities about the publicityhungry actor’s wedding last week to starlet Mia Goth, conducted by an Elvis impersonator in Las Vegas: It never happened, and video of it reached the Internet by mistake.

The first assertion, the Post says, comes from the official Twitter feed of Clark County, Nev., where we read that “our records show no marriage licence for Shia LaBeouf and Mia Goth. A commitment ceremony was performed in Vegas.” (LaBeouf insists they did indeed get married.)

The second bit comes from Shia, who told Ellen DeGeneres that the US$700 wedding package the couple bought included a live feed, and later they learned that “somebody pressed the wrong button that sends the video to TMZ.”

He’s 30. Mia is 22 or 23.

It’s a divorce for Tobey Maguire and jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer, after more than a decade together, nine married years and two kids. It’s all very friendly, apparently.

He’s 41. She’s 39. Ruby is nine. Otis is seven.

Add Hilary Swank to the list of celebs making a buck from their own clothing lines. Hers, called Mission Statement, includes dresses, jackets up to US$1,150, sports bras for US$125, etc., mostly in wicking fabrics and darkish colours.

“This was just a natural extension of my own approach to life,” she tells People mag, “realizing I wasn’t alone in this desire to have clothing that transitioned naturally from my workouts into my day.”

She’s 42.

Jennifer Lawrence and old-enough-to-be-her-dad director

Darren Aronofsky? Really?

The Sun, in England, says so, although nobody has any confirmation. He’s been directing her in a not-yet-titled big-screen drama also starring Javier Bardem, Ed Harris and Domhnall Gleeson. The picture was shot in Montreal and is now in postproduction. Don’t Usemyname told the Sun that “Jennifer and Darren have tried to keep things low-key and under wraps, but they are really into each other.”

Hmmm. Lawrence’s last known serious relationship was with Chris Martin of Coldplay; that ended last year. Aronofsky spent six years, until 2010, with actress Rachel Weisz.

JLaw is 26. Darren is 47.

It’s a boy, Caleb Kelechi, for Scandal star Kerry Washington and her husband, Nnamdi Asomugha. The lad will use dad’s last name.

E! Online reports that the baby was born Oct. 5. He’s their second child.

Washington is 39. Caleb’s big sister, Isabelle, is two.

Ewan McGregor has been hinting

that he might re-up for two more Star Wars movies. Now, England’s Daily Express reports, McGregor tells the French cinema mag Première that his franchise is much better than all these Marvel movies.

“What is good with Star Wars is that it is very extensive. They have a kind of carte blanche to do stories in this universe that are completely different. … One could say that Marvel is always more or less the same movie every time, the same pattern.”

He’s 45.
