Boil-water advisories lifted
Boil-water advisories have been lifted in Longueuil and Châteauguay. Longueuil has cancelled the advisories that affected Brossard, St-Lambert, LeMoyne and Greenfield Park. “All test results obtained as of today stated that the water is safe for consumption,” the city said in a press release on Sunday. There are now no advisories in effect in the Longueuil agglomeration. Châteauguay has ended a boil-water advisory for its residents and people living in other municipalities served by the Régie intermunicipale d’aqueduc de la Vallée de Châteauguay. The other municipalities affected by an order to boil tap water before consumption were: Mercier, Ste-Martine, Léry, St-Isidore and St-Urbain. Analyses “show that our water meets in every way the criteria of (Quebec’s environment department) with respect to drinking water quality norms,” Châteauguay said on Sunday.
