Hwy. 15 lane to close for St-Jacques overpass work

-

One lane of southbound Highway 15 will be closed for 10 days at the entrance from Girouard Ave. to StJacques St. as crews begin the process of rebuilding the St-Jacques St. overpass.

Starting on Nov. 28 at 5 a.m., one lane out of three will be closed until Dec. 8 on that short stretch of Highway 15. The work may also require complete overnight closures of the southbound highway between the exit for de Maisonneuve Blvd. and the Turcot Interchange. Transport Quebec said it will send out warnings if the highway has to be closed.

To prepare for the start of the reconstruction work, southbound Highway 15 will be closed overnight on Sunday in the Turcot Interchange area. The entrance leading to southbound Highway 15 from Highway 20 westbound will also be closed during that period.

Transport Quebec has said the new overpass will be rebuilt by 2017.
