The Habs visit the New York Rangers on Saturday night. Here are five things you should know.

1. Drive for five The Canadiens will be looking to win their fifth straight game with their last four wins all by one goal — the first three in overtime. Before this streak, the Canadiens went through a 21-game stretch where they failed to win back-to-back games once. They have outscored the opposition 10-6 in the last four games.

2. The puck stops here

Canadiens goalie Carey Price has won his last three games while stopping 82 of 85 shots for a .965 save percentage. Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist, below, has allowed two goals or less in six of his last seven games against the Canadiens at Madison Square Garden, dating back to March 30, 2012. Lundqvist became the 12th goalie in NHL history to record 400 career wins on Feb. 11 versus Colorado. Eight of the last 13 games between these teams have resulted in a shutout for one of them. 3. Saturday Night Fever The Rangers have a 9-2-0 record in Saturday games this season and are 18-4-1 in weekend games. The Rangers also lead the NHL with 86 third-period goals this season.

4. Check this guy

The Rangers’ Rick Nash scored in each of the first two games against the Canadiens this season — and in three of the last four overall — and has 7-4-11 totals in 18 career games against Montreal. The Canadiens beat the Rangers 3-2 in a shootout in their last meeting Feb. 27 in New York and also won 5-4 on Jan. 14 at the Bell Centre. J.T. Miller leads the Rangers in scoring with 19-29-48 totals.

5. French connection

Both coaches made their NHL debuts behind the Canadiens’ bench — Alain Vigneault in 1997-98 and Claude Julien in 2002-03. Vigneault and Julien both coached the Hull Olympiques in the QMJHL.
