Strategy needed to end injustice

Re: “Quebec health policy’s double discrimination” (Opinion, Aug. 4) Drs. Nazila Bettache and Samir Shaheen-Hussain wrote a fabulous opinion piece about how Quebec medicare policies for new immigrants and their children are unfair and inhumane.

But there is a line in the article I have trouble understanding: “Until then we all bear some responsibility for allowing this revolting status quo to continue.” How are citizens going to change the status quo? Should we stop paying our taxes? They did not mention a strategy. Franceen Goodman Finesilver, RN, Côte-St-Luc
