We need more trains, not buses
Andy Riga’s article on the Turcot Interchange construction paints a dire outlook for commuters. Transport Quebec is encouraging commuters to use public transport and rightly so.
Seeing that Transport Quebec will spend $40 million on improving transit one wonders whether any of that amount will be spent on improving train service. There is ample capacity in terms of equipment and availability to increase train service along the Lakeshore, specifically during off-peak hours, at minimal incremental cost.
TQ’s idea of augmenting service is to add buses. What we need? More trains now! Michael Leduc, DDO
