Avoid the inbound Champlain Bridge

Quebec’s transport ministry

strongly suggests drivers coming from the South Shore avoid the Champlain Bridge this weekend due to major work related to the rebuilding of the bridge. The ministry suggests drivers use the Victoria or Jacques Cartier bridges instead.

Highway 15 northbound will be

completely closed between the Bonaventur­e/Nuns’ Island exit and the De La Vérendrye exit from Friday at 11 p.m. till Monday at 5 a.m.

The detour will be via the Bonaventur­e Expressway to St-Antoine St. to the 720 West.

The De La Vérendrye exit off of Highway 15 South will be closed from 11:59 p.m. Friday until Monday at 5 a.m. Cars will be rerouted via Atwater Ave., St-Patrick St., StRémi St. and de l’Église.

On the Turcot Interchang­e, the following exits will be closed from Friday at 11:59 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday:

Exit off the Ville Marie W. to the 15 North exit off Décarie South for the Ville-Marie East going downtown;

Exit off the 20 East for the Ville Marie East;

At the Saint-Pierre Interchang­e, Highway 138 East between the exit for Clément St. and Highway 20 will be closed from Friday at 11:59 p.m. until Saturday 6 a.m.; and Sunday from 11:59 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m.;

The exit off of Highway 138 east coming from the Mercier Bridge heading to the 20 eastbound will be closed from Friday at 11 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m.

Highway 25 south will be closed completely from Friday at 11:59 p.m. until Saturday 8 a.m.; from 12:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. on Saturday; and from Sunday at 11:30 p.m. until Monday 5 a.m. On Highway 25 north, two lanes out of three will be closed Friday from 10:30 p.m. until Saturday at 7:30 a.m., and Sunday 10 p.m. until Monday 5 a.m.

On the Ville Marie eastbound, the exit for Berri St. will be closed from Friday at 10 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m.
