JAGUAR LAND ROVER: WHERE TECHNOLOGY AND LUXURY MEET
In recent years we have shattered sales records, and more and more of our luxury vehicles can be seen on the road every day. We have come to market with unique, fresh offerings such as the F-Pace, all new Discovery, new Range Rover Velar and we just announced the new Jaguar E-Pace mid-size SUV. We have unveiled our electric future with both the I-Pace coming in 2018 and our involvement in Formula E with the Panasonic Jaguar Racing Team. Our sales have more than doubled in the last four years.
Electrification — The Jaguar IPace, recently named the Concept Car of the Year, will usher in a new era for Jaguar when the production version hits showrooms in the summer of 2018. We will be offering a high performance crossover which transforms the electric driving experience and offers the driver-focused response Jaguar is renowned for.
The I-Pace has electric motors on the front and rear axles with a combined output of 400 horsepower and 516 foot-pounds of torque propelling it from zero to 100 km/h in just four seconds.
The 90kWh battery delivers a range in excess of 350 kilometres and will require only two hours to charge.
The year 2018 will also mark our second year in the FIA Formula E series with the Panasonic Jaguar Racing team, with another exciting race finale weekend scheduled for Montreal — our country’s racing capital.
As an added attraction at all Formula E races starting in late 2018, the new Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy series has been announced. Twenty race-ready I-Pace cars, designed by our SVO (Special Vehicles Operations) facility, will provide entertaining support races at all FE races around the world.
Land Rover: A new level of refinement — Earlier this year we launched the all-new Land Rover Discovery, replacing the outgoing LR4. The Discovery is a larger, more efficient and totally redesigned seven-seat SUV offering comfort, unmatched capability, and has already proved to be a hit.
The Discovery received rave reviews from around the world and Canada, espousing its interior and exterior design along with its stunning ability to conquer any terrain.
Loaded with technology and with improvements at every turn including ground clearance, wading depth and storage space, the new Discovery will take you above and beyond. The all-aluminum structure allowed the Discovery to reduce its weight by over 700 pounds.
The launch of the Range Rover Velar is a look at what the next generation of Range Rovers will feature from a technology standpoint and a design esthetic. The Velar was introduced to fill the white space between the Range Rover Evoque and the Range Rover Sport.
It features a compelling, standout design with perfectly optimized volume, powerful taut surfaces and a stunning silhouette. Its design purity is emphasized by its minimalist elements, such as flush deployable door handles.
The interior of the Velar is an extraordinary leap forward for the Range Rover, with a reductionist theme with switches kept to an absolute minimum to help create a streamlined environment.
The new InControl Touch Pro Duo infotainment system is the centrepiece of the vehicle’s interior. Touch Pro Duo features two 10-inch high-definition touch screens seamlessly integrated behind secret-until-lit surfaces. It is available in both 180-hp diesel and 380-hp supercharged V6 petrol options.
The Velar offers new levels of luxury, refinement and all-terrain capability to the premium midsize SUV segment.
The Discovery and Velar join a robust luxury SUV lineup available in retailer showrooms. The Land Rover brand features the Discovery and Discovery Sport while Range Rover offers the Evoque, Evoque convertible, Velar, Range Rover Sport and full-size Range Rover, the ultimate symbol of luxury and capability.
Jaguar lineup — While electrification and refinement are two of the biggest themes for our brands, we are also a company that builds powerful, striking performance machines and this year we unveiled the Jaguar XE Project 8, the fastest production Jaguar ever built. The XE Project 8, limited to 300 units globally, is a thrilling example of the work done by our SVO unit.
We recently announced a new entry to the Jaguar lineup: the E-Pace, which was introduced to the world with a Guinness World Record breaking barrel roll stunt.
The E-Pace is a five-seat compact SUV that packs the design and performance of a Jaguar sports car into a practical and connected allwheel-drive vehicle. The E-Pace joins a growing Jaguar lineup. In 2018, Jaguar retailers will be able to offer consumers luxury sedans with the XE, XF and XJ, SUVs with the E-Pace and F-Pace, one of the world’s best sports cars with the F-Type, and an electric option with the I-Pace.
Our retail network deserves much of the credit for our incredible run.

The year 2017 has already been a success for Jaguar Land Rover: the Jaguar F-Pace was named World Car of the Year and World Design Car of the Year; Velar and Discovery have come to market; and both Formula E and the Invictus Games came to Canada for the first time. With the E-Pace and I-Pace coming next year, 2018 and beyond are already looking bright for Jaguar Land Rover Canada.
