FCA Canada: Focused on the future
As the country celebrates its 150th anniversary, FCA Canada is proud to have been an integral part of Canadian life for the past 92 years. Today, we remain focused on providing vehicles that will help create an increasingly vibrant and sustainable future.
A prime example is the Chrysler Pacifica minivan, which offers the versatility, technological prowess and environmental stewardship that raise the benchmark for family haulers. Pacifica earned more than 50 accolades and awards during its maiden year, including the title of 2017 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year, as voted on by leading automotive journalists.
Pacifica earned a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety and offers unsurpassed fuel economy in a minivan, earning a rating as good as 8.4L/100 km in highway driving and 10.9L/100 km in combined/ city highway use.
The Pacifica Hybrid outdoes even those impressive numbers, with a fuel economy rating as efficient as 2.6 Le/100 km (gasoline equivalent) in city driving, making it the industry’s most efficient minivan ever. In electric mode, the Hybrid provides a range of 53 kilometres of emissions-free driving.
The Pacifica is built at our awardwinning Windsor Assembly Plant in Ontario, which also produces the Dodge Grand Caravan. In fact, the Windsor plant builds seven of every 10 minivans sold in Canada and is Canada’s single-biggest manufacturing facility with a workforce of 6,000.
Chrysler Pacifica is one of two FCA vehicles that led their segments in J.D. Power’s 2017 U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study. J.D. Power also gave Pacifica the highest ranking among minivans in its U.S. Initial Quality Study. The Dodge Challenger, built at FCA’s assembly plant in Brampton, Ont., topped the Midsize Sporty Car Segment in the APEAL study for the fifth time in seven years.
The Brampton plant also produces two variants of the Dodge Challenger aimed at muscle-car enthusiasts who want to make a bold statement.
The 2018 Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody comes with larger fender flares and wider tires than its predecessor, providing improved grip to better manage its impressive 707 horsepower.
The Hellcat’s sibling, the limited-edition Challenger SRT Demon, is simply the most powerful, street-legal production car ever. The 840-hp Demon arrives in dealerships this fall.
Ram trucks and Jeep SUVs also continue to ignite enthusiasm among Canadian customers.
The Ram 1500, powered by the award-winning 5.7-litre Hemi V8, recently won the Canadian Truck King Challenge for the third year in a row, based on independent judges’ rankings of 11 entries. The Ram 1500 also won the half-ton truck category while Ram 2500, powered by the legendary Cummins Turbo Diesel, won top honours among three-quarter-ton trucks.
Our Jeep brand has set new global sales records for five consecutive years and just celebrated its 75th year of providing unmatched capability and class-leading versatility. The all-new Jeep Compass expands the brand’s appeal in the rapidly-growing compact SUV segment, offering best-in-class 4x4 off-road capability, advanced fuel-efficient powertrains and a host of innovative safety and advanced technology offerings.
The 2017 model year also brought new versions of the Jeep Grand Cherokee, the most-awarded SUV ever.
Powered by a supercharged 6.2-litre V8, the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is the most powerful and quickest SUV ever. Meanwhile, the Trailhawk edition comes with a multitude of features to optimize off-road performance. Grand Cherokee Summit is perfect for buyers who want the ultimate luxury SUV, with a new exterior appearance, plush new interior and more standard premium features.
As part of our commitment to Canada’s future, we and our dealers are helping fund youth hockey programs through the Dodge Caravan Kids program.
Caravan Kids provides funds to help pay costs like ice time, tournament fees, jerseys and arena updates for minor league teams. Since 2006, the program has provided over $8 million to more than 16,000 minor novice hockey teams, helping more than 240,000 young Canadians to enjoy playing the game of hockey.
FCA Canada’s participation in community programs such as Dodge Caravan Kids is an extension of our dedication to continue strengthening the bonds we’ve created with millions of Canadian families, spanning several generations.
