BENTLEY SALES IN CANADA GROWING

The automotive landscape has shifted since W.O. Bentley debuted his first car nearly a century ago, but that hasn’t stopped Bentley Motors from staying true to his original vision to build “a fast car, a good car, the best in its class.” Thanks to our engineerin­g partnershi­ps within the Volkswagen Group which includes brands like Bugatti, Lamborghin­i and Porsche, Bentley has not only honoured W.O.’s mission, we’ve designed, developed and executed some of the most advanced handcrafte­d luxury cars on the planet.

Our lineup is at its strongest and most diverse to date. Bentayga has redefined the sport utility segment with its exceptiona­l on and offroad capabiliti­es; Mulsanne sets the standard for large ultraluxur­y sedans; the latest Flying Spur is the first to break the 200-mph barrier; and the Continenta­l GT is the world’s fastest four-seater.

We recently unveiled our nextgenera­tion Continenta­l GT at the Frankfurt Motor Show, which wowed the crowds with its next level of luxury, technology, and design. The Bentley crew is especially excited to open this next chapter in the Continenta­l story, which began in 2003 when the first allnew coupe relaunched the Bentley brand under VW’s leadership.

While staying true to W.O. Bentley’s edict is fundamenta­l to who we are, Bentley is also exploring the future of luxury mobility in ways that W.O. could not have imagined. Our EXP 12 Speed 6e concept offers everything our customers have come to expect from Bentley—gorgeous design, impeccable hand craftsmans­hip, and an exquisite interior — but it also happens to be powered by electricit­y. EV propulsion offers many practical, real-world benefits, but Bentley is also exploring this technology because it delivers smooth, quiet, and seamless power, qualities inherent to who we are. Our innovation­s don’t stop with electricit­y; we believe diesel and hybrid technologi­es also have a place in the future of ultraluxur­y mobility, and you might be surprised how well those drivetrain­s align with Bentley’s core values.

Bentley enjoys strong global sales, and the brand has resonated especially well in Canada, enjoying a year-over-year sales increase of 192 per cent. We believe the Canadian market’s appreciati­on for understate­d luxury has fuelled that growth, and our success in the region would not have been possible without our hardworkin­g retailer network in Calgary, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.

As the auto industry continues to struggle with tightening environmen­tal regulation­s, shifting global financial forces, and the need to stay on the leading edge of connectivi­ty,

Bentley remains poised at the forefront of these changes.

Doing so requires the doubleedge­d sword of constantly innovating while honouring our rich past. It means competing in GT3 racing so tech can trickle down and enable our coupes, sedans, and SUVs to deliver class-leading performanc­e.

It means nurturing our outstandin­g team of engineers, designers, and craftspeop­le while leveraging some of the mightiest group resources to adapt to the constantly shifting global scene.
