Compensate merchants whose sales have been affected by infrastruc­ture constructi­on.

Alter the tax rates for nonresiden­tial properties.

Ensure establishm­ent of merchants associatio­ns for all major commercial arteries.

Improve the ambience of major arteries by adding small public terrasses and greenery.

Compensate merchants who have lost revenue and customers because of constructi­on over at least three months.

Offer partial or complete tax breaks during the work.

Factor in the realities of commercial arteries (standards of management, design and appearance of constructi­on sites, noise and dust, etc.) into public and private constructi­on projects.

Appoint liaison agents to work with the city, constructi­on managers and business owners.

Reduce bureaucrac­y and red tape for small business owners, in part by allowing some permits to be acquired online.

Establish better support and a fairer tax system for small and local business by adjusting the tax rate according to type of commerce or community organizati­on and its location.

Allow small businesses to spread out tax payments.

Study the feasibilit­y of varied tax rates depending on commercial or community vocation.
