It was also in Montreal, in November 1917, that a group of hockey team owners from Quebec and Ontario came together to form the National Hockey League. Going back even further, 125 years ago, then-governor general of Canada Lord Stanley awarded the cup that would bear his name to Canada’s hockey champions. Celebratin­g the NHL’s centennial and the 125th anniversar­y of the Stanley Cup and the Montreal Canadiens, Pointeà-Callière is presenting Passion: Hockey. Come rediscover the popular roots of hockey and get back in touch with your inner child. Take a look back at the achievemen­ts of legendary players. Midway between traditiona­l circus and theatre, Petits pieds à grignoter (Eat Sweet Feet) is a story that brings together acrobatics, comedy, shadow puppetry, clown arts and juggling, taking you to a funny, silly and touching world. Inspired by tales, this multidisci­plinary show tells the story of an eight-year-old boy with a rich imaginatio­n who transforms the world around him into a fantasy universe inhabited by ogres and trolls. Two internatio­nal circus stars, Krin Haglund and Gisle Henriet, along with a very talented child, take over the stage with incredible presence. In French.
