Steer clear ofthe Turcot this weekend

But if you can’t avoid it, here’s an update on detours

A large portion of the Turcot Interchang­e is once again classified as a “sector to be avoided” this weekend by Transport Québec.

The Ville Marie Expressway westbound and Highway 20 west will be closed completely between Exit 5 in the Ville Marie tunnel and the Montreal West Interchang­e from Friday at 11:59 p.m. till Sunday at 5 a.m. for demolition work on Highway 720 West.

THE CLOSING WILL NECESSITAT­E THE FOLLOWING DETOURS:

The on-ramp on St-Antoine St. at Rose-de-Lima St. will be closed as of 10 p.m. Friday. The detour will be along St-Antoine St., to StJacques St., then Atwater Ave. to Highway 15 north.

As of 11:30 p.m. Friday, the entryways from St-Antoine St. eastbound and Sanguinet St. at Hôtel-de-Ville Ave. will be closed. The detour will be via Viger Ave. to Robert-Bourassa Blvd. and Nazareth Blvd. to the A-10 east and to the Décarie northbound.

The temporary entry at Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue Blvd. will be closed overnights all weekend: from Friday at 10 p.m. to Saturday 5 a.m.; Saturday 10 p.m. to Sunday 5 a.m. and Sunday 10 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m. The detour will be along Angrignon Blvd. to Notre-Dame St., St-Pierre Ave. and Richmond St. to Highway 20 west.

THESE EXITS WILL BE CLOSED. WATCH FOR DETOURS:

Exit from the A-15 south (Décarie) for the Ville-Marie east to downtown A-20 east (du Souvenir St.) for the Ville Marie eastbound and downtown.

Exit from the Décarie southbound for Highway 20 west.

Exit from the Décarie northbound to the 20 west.

Exit from the 20 east to the Décarie northbound.

Exit from the Ville Marie west for Décarie northbound.

VICTORIA BRIDGE

The northbound Victoria Bridge, inbound to Montreal, will be closed from Saturday 6 a.m. until Monday 5 a.m. for constructi­on work to be done by Canadian National Railway. Southbound span will be open all weekend.
