Man arrested in stabbing outside bar

A 41-year-old man was in police custody Friday after a man in his 30s was stabbed when an argument in a Ste-Catherine St. bar spilled into the street. Montreal police say the incident occurred about 11:15 p.m. Thursday near Fort St. The assailant fled the scene. The victim was in serious but stable condition after being stabbed in the lower body. Police say they arrested a suspect after a man showed up in an emergency room suffering from minor injuries apparently sustained during the altercation.
