Pricing of gasoline should be probed
Re: “‘Fixed-Price’ scheme alleged” (NP Montreal, Feb. 1)
The price of bread was raised in at least 15 alleged instances of co-ordinated price increases. I read this holding the paper with one hand while fuelling at $1.42 a litre.
An investigating officer at the Competition Bureau is behind the bread price-fixing revelations. Now if only the bureau could follow the scent of gas.
