SO BEYS PULLS SUPPORT OVER CONVICTED FEATURED SPEAKER

A national grocery chain said it’s no longer a sponsor of a series of “wellness” expositions where a man convicted in the death of his toddler was listed as a speaker. A spokeswoman said Sobeys couldn’t support the decision to host David Stephan as a speaker at the Health and Wellness Expos of Canada. He and his wife were found guilty of failing to provide the necessaries of life in their son’s death from bacterial meningitis. By Sunday afternoon, Stephan’s name was removed from the expo’s website.
