Boy crossing road hit by car
A 13-year-old boy was seriously injured Thursday evening after he was struck by a car while he was crossing Langelier Blvd.
The incident occurred at 8:15 p.m. in the borough of Montreal North near the corner of Maurice Duplessis Blvd.
Police say the boy’s injuries, while serious, are not life-threatening and that he was conscious while being transported to hospital.
A preliminary investigation suggests the boy had not paid sufficient attention to oncoming traffic before stepping into the road.
