LIBERALS CRITICIZED OVER HANDLING OF MISSION TO MALI
Foreign diplomats are frustrated about the way the Trudeau government handled this week’s Mali announcement. The decision to send six Canadian helicopters for up to 12 months to provide medical evacuations and transport to UN troops has been greeted with relief-tinged applause after years of perceived foot-dragging by the Liberals. But the diplomats feel the government allowed incorrect information to spread, which threatens to undermine Canadian public support for what they say is a critical mission.
