Weekend traffic headaches on the way

Work on a bridge and two traffic circles lead this weekend’s list of detours and road closures.

The Kahnawake-bound lanes of the Mercier Bridge will be completely closed to traffic from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for maintenanc­e work. The Montreal-bound lanes of the span will be open to two-way traffic during that period. The reserved lane from Airlie St. will only be accessible to buses between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Constructi­on on the Turcot Interchang­e will see the following exit ramps closed from 11:59 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday: exits for Highway 15 North (from the Champlain Bridge) and Highway 20 West (toward Dorval), the exit from southbound Highway 15 (Décarie) for the Highway 20 West, the exit from eastbound Highway 20 for the Highway 15 North (Décarie), and the exit from Highway 15 South for Route 136 East/Highway 720 (downtown). Work on the StPierre Interchang­e will see Exit 63 from westbound Highway 20 closed from 11:59 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday. One lane on westbound Highway 20 between the access at Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue Blvd. and the St-Pierre Interchang­e (Route 138) will be closed between 11:59 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday.

Exit 6 (Beaubien St., Yves-Prévost Blvd.) will close 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. And the exits on Highway 10 East from the Champlain Bridge for Route 132 East (toward Longueuil) and West (toward La Prairie) will close 11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
