Re: “CAQ government seeks alternative to Apuiat wind farm proposal” (Montreal Gazette, Oct. 31)

I hope the Coalition Avenir Québec government follows through on its promise to abort the Apuiat wind farm project.

Historic “rendezvous” opportunity with the Innu? More like a historic opportunity to have billions of dollars of taxpayer money fly away in the wind.

When Hydro- Québec tells you the project would lose a multiple over its capital cost of $600 million, one has to listen.

There are better ways to form a rapprochement with Indigenous communities than to build projects that are destined to be white elephants.
