Massive increase in road closures

Transport Quebec is warning this weekend will see “unpreceden­ted” closures in the Turcot Interchang­e, including on Monday. Here’s what you need to know about the worsethan-usual road closings, Friday through Monday:

TURCOT INTERCHANG­E

The access for Highway 20 West from the Ville Marie will be closed starting Thursday at 11:59 p.m. until Tuesday at 5 a.m. The Ville-Marie access from Highway 20 will be closed Friday at 10:30 p.m. until Tuesday at 5 a.m. Highway 15 North will be closed from the entrance off the Champlain Bridge to the Décarie Expressway from Friday at 11:59 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m. De la Vérendrye Blvd. eastbound, between Galt St. and Highway 15, will be closed from Friday at 11:59 p.m. to 5 a.m. Saturday, from 8 p.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday and again from 8 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday. Trucks with three axles or more will be prohibited in both directions from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., on Friday and Monday, on Highway 20 between the St-Pierre and Turcot interchang­es and on Highway 720 between the Turcot Interchang­e and Highway 10.

MERCIER BRIDGE

The Mercier Bridge will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Friday at 10 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m.

ST-PIERRE INTERCHANG­E

The Mercier exit from Highway 20 West will be closed from Friday at 11:59 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m. One out of three lanes on Highway 20 West between Angrignon Blvd. and the St-Pierre Interchang­e will be closed from 11:59 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m.
