The West Montreal Re-adaptation Centre installati­on looking for volunteers who would be interested in playing floor hockey with their adult clients on Wednesday evenings from 5 to 8 p.m., starting now until May, at the Beaconsfie­ld location. The CLSCs have begun their flu vaccinatio­n clinics in municipali­ties throughout the West Island. Volunteer shifts are available in several locations – call us! The Meals on Wheels kitchen that operates out of St. Barnabas Church (near Pierrefond­s & Sources Blvd.) is looking for a team of 2 drivers and a team of 2 cooks for one Tuesday and Thursday every month. The West Island Mission is gearing up for the holidays! In addition to looking for food and gift donations, volunteers will be needed on Dec. 7 and 8 to pack and distribute gift baskets. She is living with terminal cancer and trying to make the most of the time she has left. A pleasant English, Latvian and German speaking Dollard resident would love to share some time with a friendly female volunteer. She would appreciate someone to teach her how to order groceries on her computer, as well as accompany her on nearby shopping outings. A very calm and easy-going 78year old Dollard woman who speaks English and German is in need of a female volunteer to offer friendly home visits and accompanim­ent on social outings.
