Police merging two stations

-

Montreal police personnel of community station (PDQ) 24, which serves Outremont and town of Mount Royal, will be merged into PDQ 26, which serves western Côte-des-Neiges, as of Jan. 14. Officials said the Van Horne Ave. offices of PDQ 24 are in need of major repair, forcing the relocation, and the station facilities of PDQ 26 can “easily accommodate” the extra personnel in the short term. The transfer will see 150 police officers, 50 school crossing guards and four civilian employees working out of PDQ 26’s offices on Mountain Sights Ave. in Montreal.
