Montreal police were interviewing witnesses and at least one suspect Friday morning after a 17-year-old male was beaten Thursday night by more than a dozen assailants in a park in the city ’s Saint-Michel district.
The victim suffered multiple bruises, but was described on Friday by police as being in stable condition.
Police have yet to determine what sparked the attack, but arrested a 16-year-old suspect near the scene.
According to those witnesses, about 15 people swarmed the victim in George-Vernot Park and punched and kicked him.
