It is with great sadness that the family of Toba, announces her peaceful passing on Monday, September 30, 2019, at the age of ninety-six. Beloved wife of the late Irving. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Richard Brecher and Cynthia Morawski, Tom and Paulina Brecher, Ron Brecher and Gail Cornwell, and Terrie and Dave Weisse. Dear grandmother to all her grandchildren: Emily and Brian, Lauren and David, Daniel, Jason, Todd, Chelsea, Kellie and Ryan; and loving great-grandmother to Abby and Chloe. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Henry and Florence Herman, Moe and Bess Herman, Minnie and Eddie Woloz, Hyman and Florence Herman. Sister-in-law of Mike and the late Eva Brecher, Kate and the late Joe Brecher. She will be missed by her nieces, nephews and family. Toba was a wonderful person who will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and her beautiful smile. We would like to thank the staff of the Château Westmount for their compassionate care. We are also grateful to the staff of the Royal Victoria Hospital for making her last few days comfortable. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Thursday, October 10 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at Temple Emanu-El-Beth Sholom Congregation Section, Mount Royal Cemetery, 1297 ch. de la Forêt. The family will be receiving visitors at Ruby Foo’s from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory, to the charity of your choice, would be greatly appreciated.
