1936 - 2019

Died peacefully with family at his side at the Brantford General hospital afte ra lengthy struggle with Alzheimer’s. Beloved husband for 61 years of Kathleen (Kay) McKee. He will be sadly missed by his daughters Susan (Steven Morrison), Andrea (Andre Jandke) and Lisa (David Page); his grandchildren - Laura (Mike Metzler), Chris (Alex Beck), Stephanie and Jenna; his great-grandchildren - Austin and Claire. John was employed by Air Canada and had a 36 year career working briefly at Malton and then in Dorval, QC. In retirement he loved to travel and spent his leisure time woodworking, golfing, curling and gardening. Cremation has taken place. A gathering to celebrate John’s life will be held at the "Thorpe Brothers Carriage House," 96 West Street, Brantford, on Wednesday, October 9 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Online condolences may be offered at thorpebrothersfh.com 519-759-2211.
