CROWDIS, Frank Blair
Jun. 17, 1949 - Sep. 21, 2020
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dad from complications due to a year-long struggle with kidney disease. Originally from Montreal, Qc., Canada, Frank resided in Greenville, North Carolina for the past 20 years. He is survived by his five children, Kelly (Eric), Kerri (Darrin), Kristin (Ian), Tony (Rachael) and Chris; his grandchildren Matthew, Jonathan, Paul, Jack, Griffin, Sean, Bronwyn, Gwen, Camden, Aiden, Brooke, Kendall, Blake, Gage, Christian, and Christa, Christopher, and Lexi. He is also survived by his sisters Fran (Robin), Colleen (Brian), Catherine, his former spouses Gail Garvin and Lisa Curtis, as well as many nephews, nieces and friends across Canada and the United States. He is predeceased by his father, Fraser Crowdis and mother, Catherine (Kay) Crowdis (Walsh). Dad's children and grandchildren were his pride and joy, and the one thing he loved more than golfing, woodworking, and a day at the beach. As a youth he could be found in NDG park playing baseball, football or hockey and was a proud Loyola High School graduate ('65). He treasured his friendships - both old friends from NDG, his golfing buddies, and new friends who took such great care of him in Greenville. We are eternally grateful for the care dad received from all the healthcare workers at Vidant Medical Center of Greenville, and Physicians East over the years. We look forward to the day when we will all be reunited on "Grandma's feather bed". Due to the pandemic a celebration of life will be held when the situation permits.
