LAVIGNE, Bernard

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Bernard Joseph Lavigne on Sunday, September 20, 2020 in his 77th year. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Lois Floyd of 44 years, his devoted son Daniel (Sheila Bell) and his adored grandchildren Kaytlin, Liam and Grace. Bernie was born in Bathurst, N.B. then later moved to Montreal, Quebec. It is here he met the love of his life, raised his family and worked at St Thomas A Becket Parish for 25 years. He was a kind and gentle soul and was loved by all who knew him. He touched many lives and was a true man of peace. Predeceased by his parents Edmound and Marilda (Aubie) his sisters Vina (Gilbert) and Dorothy (Gerald). He is survived by his siblings Clarence (Elvira) Rita (John) Bernice (Leon) Gerald (Irene) Cleatus (Judy) and Cleo (Christine). He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, family members and close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bernie’s name to the West Island Palliative Care Residence.
