West Island health authority opens walk-in vaccination clinics
The West Island health authority has announced that COVID-19 vaccination is now offered without an appointment for people aged between 55 and 79 years old at its four vaccination sites.
“We invite people who meet these criteria to come in large numbers to one of our sites, which are open 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.,” the health authority stated.
The four walk-in sites are:
■ Bob-birnie Arena, 58 Maywood Ave. Pointe-claire (corner of Douglas-shand Ave.) Bus 201 - St-charles/st-jean and 203 Carson
■ Gerry-robertson Community Centre, 9665 Gouin Blvd. West, Pierrefonds-roxboro (corner of Sunnybrooke Blvd.) Bus 68 Pierrefonds and 213 - St-laurent Industrial Park.
■ Dollard Civic Centre, 12001 De Salaberry Blvd., Dollard-desormeaux. Bus 208 — Brunswick.
■ Centre Sportif Dollard-st-laurent, 707, 75th Avenue Lasalle (corner of De La Vérendrye Blvd.) Bus 112 - Airlie
“We invite people between the ages of 55 and 79 to come in large numbers to one of our walk-in clinics to get their vaccine,” said Dalia Toledano, deputy director for population responsibility and partnerships at the CIUSSS de l'ouest-deîle-de-montréal. “Our teams are ready to welcome you and you will be taken care of quickly. Getting the vaccine is the first step toward getting back to normal life and it is an effective way to protect yourself against COVID -19."
Essential workers, health care workers (phase 2) and people 60 years and over can now make an appointment at one of the vaccination clinics.
Vaccination is also now available to people living with a chronic disease.
