Police seek help finding suspected arsonists

-

Montreal police have turned to the public to help locate those responsible for a series of arson fires set since last October.

Police say the individuals are responsible for at least nine cases of arson at stores, private homes and vehicles in Côte-st-luc, Dollarddes-ormeaux, St-laurent and Town of Mount Royal.

The suspects resort to the same method in each incident — using either Molotov cocktails or flammables to start the fires. In three incidents, shots were fired at the targeted buildings. Evidence garnered thus far suggests the suspects are part of an organized group involved in several forms of criminal activity.

Surveillance camera images have caught a few of the alleged suspects in the act. Police are sharing some of those images hoping to track down the suspects.

Anyone with any information that could help the investigation is urged to call Info-crime Montréal at 514-393-1133. All calls will be treated confidentially.
