Schoolyard tactics and language stats

Re: “Challenging the orthodoxy that French is in free fall” (Allison Hanes, July 15)

Schools struggle with ways to stop bullying — a perennial problem that might never end. How can the education system use the behaviour of the current provincial government to help the cause? The latter is set to push through Bill 96 because it can, not because it should.

It has been said that there are lies, damn lies and then there are statistics.

God bless the government's analysts and sympathizers who are so clever at skewing the data about the downfall of the French language.
