My sentiments, perfectly conveyed
It's rare to read a column about politics and find myself identifying with every sentence and sentiment expressed.
I believe that many Liberal Party supporters feel the same letdown in regard to Justin Trudeau's pandemic election call.
And not only in Quebec, where the CAQ government has shot down the anglophone minority by using the notwithstanding clause to override the federal and provincial charters of rights, with the craven blessing of the Liberal and other federal parties.
Throughout Canada, I feel, Trudeau has dropped to the bottom of many people's “who do you trust?” list.
Like Lincoln, I will vote for my Liberal MP, Anthony Housefather, who I feel has performed very well for his constituents.
However, like Lincoln, my hope is for another minority government.
