Here's how I'm marking my ballot

-

Re: “'I feel thoroughly let down in this election'” (Clifford Lincoln, Sept. 2)

Once again, I have reason to admire Clifford Lincoln. Like him, I am a Liberal dismayed by the prime minister's failure to defend minority and human rights and Canadian values. I too admire my Liberal MP, Anthony Housefather.

But unlike Lincoln, I will not be holding my nose and voting Liberal, nor for any of the other major parties. They are equally guilty. For the first time in my somewhat long life, I will effectively spoil my ballot by voting for an independent or a party with no chance of election (e.g., Libertarian or Communist) if there are such candidates in Mount Royal. If not, I will spoil it by writing my opinion on it.

The problem with the Liberal Party, in my view, is Justin Trudeau — and I look forward to his resignation after failing to win a majority, or a loss.

Where is the Rhinoceros Party when you need it?
