TRUDEAU ON DEFENCE OVER COMMENT ABOUT GOING TO POLLS AGAIN

-

Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau said Friday he was merely remarking about the average lifespan of a minority government in Canada and not suggesting yet another election in 18 months. During the French debate in Quebec on Thursday night, Trudeau said that another minority government could send voters to the polls in another 18 months. He defended the comment on Friday when he was under fire for calling the Sept. 20 election in the midst of a fourth wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
