According to Centris, condo sales were up 52 per cent in Dollard-desormeaux during the last

four quarters, while the number of active listings only went up eight per cent.

This statistic doesn’t come as much of a surprise to the vice-president of constructi­on and business developmen­t for Métrocité, the family-owned, residentia­l real estate developer behind one of the area’s newest projects — Baldwin Condos & Penthouses.

“There’s a definite lack of condos in the neighbourh­ood,” says Renato Rinollini, who took over the company with his brother Paolo, the vice-president of finance, from their father fifteen years ago.

“Especially large condos for families or people that are downsizing, which make up a significan­t proportion of our clientele.”

Located less than five minutes from the new REM station planned for the area, and with spacious one-, two-, and three- bedroom units that range from just over 770 sq. ft to nearly 2,200 sq. ft., Baldwin Condos is the ideal project for buyers who have been having a hard time finding a spacious condo in a convenient location, at an affordable price.

After a series of successful projects over the last 40 years, including Square Jean-béraud and Townhouses New Chomedey in Laval, Baldwin is the result of years of research, which Renato and Paolo’s father was only too happy to engage in.

“I remember when my dad used to visit residents

at his old projects and he’d disappear for hours, deep in conversati­on with them about everything and anything,” says Paolo Rinollini.

“He learned a lot during those talks, and everything he learned went into Baldwin.”

Condos and penthouses

These units range from 778 sq. ft. one-bedroom

condos to 2116 sq. ft. three-bedroom condos, each with their own private balcony or terrace that measures up to 720 sq. ft. Prices start from $440,000, plus taxes.

Amenities
