Picture of irony or hypocrisy?

Re: “Legault strikes nationalist tone with CAQ youth wing” (Montreal Gazette, Sept. 20)

I couldn't help but notice the photo of Premier François Legault speaking to the CAQ youth convention beneath a large sign stating “fiers” (proud).

Legault is seated in a church with the high altar and a crucifix prominently behind him. Irony or hypocrisy is left to the observer's imagination.

“Secularism” is defined by the dominant culture. In Quebec, it seems, non-christians and non-believers need not apply.
