Liberal victory looks like a loss
In the 1970 Quebec elections, René Lévesque's fledgling Parti Québécois won seven seats and was second in the popular vote. He proclaimed the result a defeat that looked like a victory.
Justin Trudeau should be saying the opposite. A majority of Canadians voted against his party and his authority to govern is no greater than it was at dissolution.
