Electric Jeep Wagoneer to land in Canada in late 2024
Stellantis is putting in a plug for its electric vehicles with the unveiling of the all-new Jeep Wagoneer S, which will be powered strictly by battery. When it launches later in 2024, it will be the automaker's first global battery-electric vehicle. In Canada, it will first go on sale in Quebec and British Columbia in the fall of 2024.
While full specifications are yet to come, the Wagoneer S will have 600 horsepower, a zero-to-96km/h acceleration of about 3.5 seconds, LED -illuminated seven-slot Jeep grille, and off-road capability.
The automaker recently announced an all-electric version of its Ram Promaster delivery and cargo vans, which will also be coming to Canada late in 2024, and last December revealed the all-new 2024 Fiat 500e, which will be in dealerships in Quebec and B.C. early in 2024, at a starting price of $39,995.
We've also seen the Ram Revolution all-electric pickup truck concept and the 2025 Ramcharger 1500, which will combine gasoline and electricity in a pickup truck. And you can buy plug-in hybrid versions of the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Wrangler, in what that brand calls 4xe trim.
In other battery news from last year, Stellantis announced a partnership for recycling end-of-life batteries and battery manufacturing scrap in Europe and North America, investment in an environmentally friendlier method for lithium extraction and a joint venture with six other automakers on North American public charging infrastructure.
It seems that Motor1 got a glimpse of a document reportedly leaked by a Jeep dealer in the U.S. It mentions a 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition, which usually indicates a model that's now wearing a toe tag. The document is for a sales push in January 2024, and at the bottom it states dealers who hit the highest sales targets “will be awarded one (1) unit of dealer stock allocation for the 2024MY Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 `Final Edition.'”
