Show Time with Stephen Brian Patterson

On September 28th at 8pm, former Moose Javian Stephen Patterson will be appearing with the Regina Symphony Orchestra in a musical event entitled “Broadway Today”. The venue for the affair is at the Conexus Arts Centre, 200 Lakeshore Drive and for all those that would love to see him perform, a bus will be available to transport individual­s to and from the concert. Patterson was born and raised in Moose Jaw and finished high school here. He then went on to Oakville Ontario to attend Sheridan College, graduating in the Performanc­e Program in the Music Theatre Department. He majored in the trinity – dancing, singing and acting. Since then he has played numerous major roles all over North America: to name but a few - Marius in Les Mis, Chris in Miss Saigon, Prince Charming in Cinderella, the Professor in South Pacific, )reddy in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Che in (vita, Jerry in The )ull Monty and Gilbert in Anne of Green Gables. Most recently, he is starring in Stratford as Captain Walker in Tommy. He has been three seasons at the Stratford Festival. The guest conductor of the RSO has invited Patterson to sing with Helena Janik and Gisele Fredette for this late September concert. Bob Patterson, Stephen’s father and a resident in Moose Jaw said, “Stephen grew up here and I think a lot of people remember him. The last time he was back in the city for a benefit concert when the Tsunami hit Asia.” Bob is hoping that lots of Moose Javians will take the opportunit­y to go to Regina to see and hear Stephen, a contingent of support from his home town. He says, “I’m organi]ing a bus for people who want to travel that way. I want to provide an opportunit­y for those who come to the concert to meet and greet Stephen after the show at the Conexus Centre.
