Increasing jobs is key

Moose Jaw Times Herald - - COLUMN -

This week, however, the Saskatchewan NDP stood in the Legislature to vote against this plan — legislation designed to give small business owners greater incentive to hire more workers, and invest in new capital right here in Moose Jaw and communities across Saskatchewan.

Entrepreneurs drive a large part of our province’s economic activity and our government recognizes and appreciates the huge contribution small business owners make to Saskatchewan. That’s why our government is moving to enact these changes.

These measures build upon our government’s record of creating one of the strongest investment climates in Canada, achieving the province’s first-ever AAA credit rating, and among the strongest job and wage growth in Canada over the last decade.

I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge all Moose Jaw Times-Herald staff — past and present — who have connected our community and kept readers informed over all these years.

The Times-Herald has been the paper of record, sharing our stories for more than a century, and it will be missed more than words can say.
