Moose Jaw Times Herald - - SPORTS -

in the paper, the pride of watching your child being interviewed by a Times-Herald reporter, the thrill of sharing the article with grandparents and extended family, the daily ritual of looking at pictures and articles on the fridge door and the legacy of carefully placing these articles and pictures in scrapbooks. Students often comment that sport is one of their favourite high school memories and the Times-Herald has proudly acknowledged the importance sport plays in the lives of many high school students.

The Times-Herald sports department has always put in a tremendous amount of time and expertise into reporting high school sport. Over the years we have repeatedly heard from out of town coaches and parents how fortunate Moose Jaw is to have a paper that covers high school sport so extensively. We have always been thankful for the coverage provided by the paper.

The reporter’s love of sport was often reflected in their articles. They did a fantastic job of highlighting local athletes and teams as they progressed through their seasons and sports. It has been a tradition in some schools to post all of the articles on a bulletin board as the school year unfolds. When one looks at the large amount of pictures and articles, you realize how extensively your hard working sports department has reported high school sport.

It goes without saying that the high school athletic coverage that the Times-Herald has provided for many decades will be greatly missed. A sincere thank you.
