Meeting Place

John is a retired provincial civil servant and an avid amateur photographer. He and his wife Jennifer have lived in Pickering, Ont., for the past 30 years. They have two adult children and two grandchildren. Since retiring in 2012, John and Jennifer have travelled throughout Canada and all over the world, with John taking many photos along the way. He is active in his local photography community and is the current president of the Ajax Photography Club. His photo essay Winter Wonderland on page 8 shows off his amazing photography skills. John’s other hobbies include hiking, playing bagpipes and golf.
